Tammie Clarke Gibbs loved to read from an early age, but was in high school when a teacher recognized her writing talent. To her surprise he shared her short story writing assignments with other teachers in the “teacher’s lounge” where teachers soon anticipated each new story.<\/p>\n
She wrote her first novella as a junior in high school and entered it in the Avon Flare Young Adult Novel Competition and though she didn’t win, she accomplished what many never do, she finished a manuscript and submitted it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Years later she would collaborate with over sixty published romance authors to put out “Recipes for Romance from the Leading Ladies and Gentlemen of Romance”, a specialty cookbook featuring dates, gifts and amazing recipes. The project caught the attention of Katherine Faulk, whose well-known Romantic Times Magazine, who offered to host the official launch at the Romantic Times Book Lover’s Convention. After this truly magical time Tammie shifted her attention back to her first novel ISLAND OF SECRETS which became an Amazon Kindle #1 Bestseller and remained on the Top 100 for eighteen consecutive months.\u00a0<\/p>\n
When she isn’t swept away in her own world creating, she sells real estate continuing to help make dreams come true for many families.<\/p>\n
Tammie lives in South Georgia with her husband and two very spoiled fur babies. She is the Gammie of twin grandsons and their baby brother and is having the best time playing with them and helping encourage their imaginations.<\/p>\n
